The Steal an Egg Halloween event dropped on October 17 and brought a full side quest with it. Echo the dog is standing in the Halloween Dimension waiting for you to track down four scattered belongings, and the reward chain at the end is worth the run: finish the quest, get the Haunted Rod, use the rod to fish, and you unlock the Phantom Express ticket. The catch is you need at least 2.5 million speed just to walk through the portal. If you are not there yet, read on because there is a fast fix for that too. This is a Roblox game, so the Halloween Dimension is a limited-time zone tied to the event window.

What do you need before entering the Halloween Dimension?

The portal into the Halloween Dimension has a hard speed gate of 2.5 million speed. Fall below that and it bounces you straight back to the main lobby. No workaround exists for the threshold itself, but getting there quickly is doable.

The fastest method is joining an admin abuse event while one is running. These flood the map with bonus speed boosts, and most players cross the 2.5 million mark within a few minutes during an active session. Once you hit the number, find the portal at the standard dimension spawn point on the main map and step through.

How do you find Echo the dog and start the quest?

From the Halloween Dimension spawn point, move diagonally to the left. The second structure you reach is the one you want: a house with an orange witch hat on the roof and three tombs sitting beside it. Out front you will see some bones and a cauldron on the ground. Echo is standing right there with a yellow exclamation mark above his head.

Talk to him to kick off Echo's Memories quest. Your item tracker immediately reads 0/4. The dialogue is brief, so there is nothing to miss before you start running. Once all four items are collected and returned, Echo walks you across the map to a fisherman NPC, his old master, who hands over the Haunted Rod.

Where is the white rabbit toy (item 1)?

This one requires almost no travel. From where Echo is standing, look straight ahead. The nearest pumpkin house sits directly in your sightline, and the white rabbit toy is on the ground right outside it. Walk up and press E to pick it up. Your counter ticks from 0/4 to 1/4.

The toy is small and pale against the orange surroundings, so keep your camera angled toward the ground. Ghosts wander this area but they cannot interact with quest items, so a quick grab is safe. If it does not appear dead center, swing the camera around the side of the house as a small number of players have reported it spawning slightly off to one edge.

Where is the chewed bone (item 2)?

Turn right from the pumpkin house and run toward the right edge of the playable area. Your anchor is the Phantom Express train station. Once you reach it, drop down to the riverbank below and look for rock formations along the water's edge. The chewed bone sits next to the second rock cluster from the water, not the first one closest to the station.

The riverbank has several rock piles that look nearly identical, which is exactly why the "second one" detail matters. Press E on the bone and your counter moves to 2/4.

Where is the old collar (item 3)?

Keep moving past the Phantom Express station rather than doubling back. Walk through the station, cross the train tracks on the far side, and scan the next field for a large tree standing alone. Echo's old collar is on the ground next to its trunk.

The collar is small and dark against the grass, so slow down as you approach the tree. There are no other quest items in this field, so if you have crossed the tracks and reached the tree, you are in exactly the right spot. Pick it up and your counter reads 3/4. The Abandoned Manor entrance is a short run back toward the center of the map from here.

Where is the old photograph (item 4)?

Head to the Abandoned Manor entrance. The main road running straight out from the spawn leads directly to the manor's gate. When you arrive, look just left of the gate. Two large pumpkins and a rock formation are clustered there, and the old photograph is sitting on the ground behind them.

This is the item that trips up the most players. The photograph is partially hidden behind the rock, and the area looks empty when approached from the road. Position yourself on the far side of the rock, looking back toward the gate, instead of walking straight at it from the road. Once you spot the small sepia frame, press E and your counter hits 4/4.

What is the fastest route to collect all four items?

The four items are laid out so a single loop covers all of them with minimal backtracking: white rabbit toy at the pumpkin house first, then chewed bone at the riverbank, then old collar past the station, then old photograph at the Abandoned Manor. After grabbing the photograph near the manor, you are already close to the center of the map, making the return trip to Echo short.

Running them in any other order forces a double crossing of the map. The rabbit toy and the photograph are at opposite ends of the playable area, so whichever you grab first dictates where you run next. The loop above keeps your movement pointed in roughly one direction the whole way.

What happens after you return all four items to Echo?

Once your counter reads 4/4, go back to Echo at the witch-hat house. He starts walking on his own and you follow him across the map to a fisherman NPC waiting by the water. Talk to the fisherman and he hands over the Haunted Rod as the reunion reward.

The Haunted Rod is not just a cosmetic finish. Take it to any of the glowing ripples around the Halloween Dimension and cast. Each cast starts a short fishing minigame, and completing the minigame drops the Phantom Express ticket. In other words, Echo's quest unlocks the rod, and the rod unlocks the ticket. Skipping the quest means skipping both.

How does Candy Corn work in the Halloween Dimension?

Candy Corn is the event's main currency. Every monster you defeat drops roughly +12 Candy Corn, and Halloween Dimension Eggs cost around 2,250 Candy Corn each. At that rate you are looking at approximately 188 monster kills per egg if you are grinding at a steady pace.

Vendor NPCs scattered around the dimension sell the event eggs for Candy Corn. Exact hatch odds are not published in-game, so treat every pull as a random roll. If your Candy Corn stack is low, admin abuse events are again the fastest solution since they tend to flood the map with monsters alongside the speed boosts.

What else is there to do in the Halloween event?

Echo's Memories quest is the centerpiece of the Halloween Dimension, but the event has more going on around it. The Phantom Express ticket you earn from fishing with the Haunted Rod is its own separate unlock, and the Candy Corn grind for event eggs runs parallel to the quest chain.

If you are still working on your speed to hit the 2.5 million threshold, our Steal an Egg biomes and speed requirements guide breaks down every zone and exactly when to push into each one. For the vault side of the game, the Steal an Egg Vault Parts and drone locations guide covers all five parts and the Scrambler unlock. Both are worth bookmarking if you are working through the full game alongside the event content. You can find both and more in the full Roblox guides collection.
