Kuldra, the God-Eater is the final boss of the Scorned Wilderness raid in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and she is nothing like the dragon encounters you have faced before. This fight layers elemental puzzles, a mechanical weapon called the Resonator, and four distinct phases on top of each other. Getting through it requires preparation, not just good gear.
This guide covers everything: how to reach Kuldra's Sanctum, what to bring, how to solve the Anima puzzles, and how to survive all four phases through to the final reward.
How do you find Kuldra's Sanctum?
Kuldra sits at the very end of the Scorned Wilderness raid. To get there, you need to have already progressed through the main story far enough to defeat Fuzan, which unlocks the Scorned Wilderness. The entrance is near the Fractured Plains in Ghornfell.
Once inside, you will find Commander Zilyana stationed in a safe hub area. Speaking to her kicks off the Regicide raid. Before you go any further, drop a Lodestone near her position. If you die during the raid, your gravestone returns to this hub, which makes recovering your items far less painful.

What gear should you bring for Kuldra?
Tier 7 armor from Umbral Sands is the minimum you want heading into this fight. If you have not upgraded beyond that, do not panic: the raid itself contains Runite and Luminite deposits you can mine and use to craft Rune equipment before you ever reach Kuldra's arena.
A ranged weapon is not optional here. You will need it to pick off smaller dragons from a distance during the boss phases and to target Kuldra's heart in the final phase if your healing supplies run low.

Antipoison Potions are the single most important consumable in this fight. Poison becomes a persistent hazard throughout the raid and turns lethal during Phase 4. Bring more than you think you need.
The tools matter because you can gather materials mid-raid to craft upgrades at checkpoints. Do not skip them.
How does the raid work before Kuldra?
Five areas stand between the entrance and Kuldra's Sanctum.
The raid uses a checkpoint system, so you can leave, restock, and return without losing progress. Use that freedom aggressively. There is no penalty for restocking between areas.
How do the Anima puzzles work?
The Anima system is the core mechanic of the entire raid, and it carries directly into the boss fight. There are four elemental types: Air, Water, Earth, and Fire. You siphon a specific Anima type, gain a temporary elemental infusion, and then activate the matching pylon.
Some puzzles require you to create an Anima Orb at a dispenser and physically carry it to another device. Get comfortable with this process early, because Kuldra's first three phases are built around exactly this loop.
What is the final puzzle solution in Cataclysm Keep?
At the end of Cataclysm Keep, four elemental panels block the gate to the final checkpoint. The correct activation order is:
Air → Water → Earth → Fire
Step on them in that sequence and the gate opens. This is your last chance to return to base, repair gear, and top up supplies before the boss. Do not skip it.
How do you beat Kuldra?
Kuldra's fight has four phases. The first three follow the same Resonator loop with increasing complexity. The fourth drops you inside the boss herself.
Phase 1: Power the Resonator
The opening phase teaches you the core loop that carries through the entire fight. Here is the sequence:
- Defeat the Blue Dragon to collect Water Anima, or use available Earth Anima.
- Activate the matching elemental pylon.
- Use the dispenser to create an Anima Orb.
- Load the orb into the Resonator.
- Fire the Resonator at Kuldra.
- Repeat until the phase ends.

Kuldra attacks constantly throughout this. Most of her attacks leave visible ground indicators, giving you time to move. The one to respect is her beam attack, which deals heavy damage. The green crystals scattered around the arena block line of sight, so get behind one when the beam charges.
At around 75% health, Commander Zilyana appears and throws up a protective barrier. Get inside it immediately. This is not optional: the incoming attack will kill you if you are outside. Use the window to heal and refresh any active buffs.
Phase 2: Defeat the Red Dragon Hatchling
Phase 2 runs the same Resonator loop, but the Anima Orb Dispenser is now locked behind a gate. A Red Dragon Hatchling will spawn during this phase. Kill it to obtain Fire Anima, use that infusion to activate the Fire pylon, and the gate opens.
From there, create the Anima Orb, load the Resonator, and keep firing. The beam attack is still your main threat. Zilyana appears again near 50% health with another barrier. Same drill: get inside, heal, and prepare.

Phase 3: Fire and Water pylons together
Phase 3 introduces both Red and Blue Dragons simultaneously. You need Fire and Water Anima to activate both pylons connected to the Resonator, which means dealing with both dragons before you can proceed.
The Anima Orb Dispenser in this phase sits on a platform near a green crystal. That crystal is your best friend: it covers you from the beam attack and gives you a stable firing position for the Crossbow or Staff if you want to handle the dragons at range.
Once both pylons are active, load the Resonator and fire until Kuldra collapses. The fight is not over.
Phase 4: Destroy Kuldra's Heart
When Kuldra falls, a bridge extends across the arena. Cross it, approach the boss, and interact with the prompt to enter her body.
Inside, the objective is to destroy Kuldra's Heart. Two things will try to stop you: Heartworms that spawn around the area, and poison attacks that make standing near the heart dangerous for more than a few seconds at a time.
The most reliable approach is to clear the Heartworms first, then commit to attacking the heart. As the heart loses health, both the attack frequency and the poison coverage increase, so the fight gets harder the longer it goes.
Keep these points in mind during Phase 4:
- Use Antipoison Potions whenever the debuff applies, not just when you are in danger.
- Clear Heartworms before focusing on the heart.
- Step out of poison-covered ground immediately, even if it interrupts your attack rotation.
- If you have Enchant Weapon: Water, activate it for the healing bonus.
- Fall back and heal when your health drops low. A dead player deals zero damage.
Melee is faster if you have the healing to support it. Ranged works fine if you are running low on food and need the safer distance.
Once the heart breaks, follow the exit route. The encounter is complete.
What rewards do you get from beating Kuldra?
After the encounter ends, you return to Commander Zilyana. Speaking to her completes the Regicide quest and delivers your first-clear rewards.
The Queenslayer's Reward Pack pulls a random item from Kuldra's loot pool, which can include valuable Dragon equipment. Farming that gear means running the full raid again, since all checkpoints reset after a successful clear.

Quick tips for struggling players
Kuldra is a mechanics boss, not a gear check. Players who understand the Anima loop and Resonator cycle will outperform better-equipped players who ignore them. A few things that make the biggest difference:
- Upgrade to Rune weapons at a checkpoint before the final fight if you have the materials.
- Prioritize dodging the beam over landing extra hits. Staying alive matters more than damage per second.
- Enter Zilyana's barrier every time it appears. Missing it in Phase 1 or 2 can end a run.
- In Phase 4, treat the Heartworms as the first target, not an afterthought.
