The Best Steflos Build - Warframe

Citrine's signature shotgun gets a Prime upgrade

Warframe players have a new weapon to chase: the Steflos Prime, the primed version of Citrine's signature heat-based shotgun. The base Steflos already has a satisfying gimmick where its projectiles grow in size and lifespan every time they hit an enemy, but the Prime variant takes that further. When Citrine Prime wields it, the weapon also boosts projectile speed, making the snowballing effect even more reliable. Four relics stand between you and a complete set, so here's exactly where to find them and how to crack them fast.

What relics do you need for Steflos Prime?

The full build requires four components, each locked behind a specific relic. Here's the complete breakdown:

Loading table...

The Barrel from Axi S21 is the one that will slow you down. A 10% drop rate even at Radiant means you should expect to crack multiple Axi S21s before it shows up. Prioritize getting that relic Radiant before anything else, and run it in a group so you have four chances per mission instead of one.

tip
Upgrade your Axi S21 to Radiant using Void Traces before cracking it. The 10% Barrel drop rate climbs significantly compared to the base intact relic, and those extra percentage points matter when you're farming repeatedly.

Where to farm each Steflos Prime relic

Lith A13: Hepit in the Void

Hepit is the go-to node for Lith relics and has been for years. It's a Capture mission in the Void, which means you can finish it in under a minute if you're running a fast frame like Gauss or Volt. You'll occasionally pull Aya instead of a Lith relic, but that's not wasted effort since Aya feeds directly into Prime Resurgence purchases.

Meso D9: Ukko or Olympus

For Meso relics, the Capture mission at Ukko in the Void mirrors the Hepit setup: quick, repeatable, and efficient. If you want a change of pace, the Olympus Disruption mission on Mars also drops Meso relics and rewards players who can keep conduit defense going for multiple rounds.

Neo Y2: Ur on Uranus or Xini on Eris

Neo relics drop on the B and C rotations of the Ur Disruption mission on Uranus. If your gear isn't up to that node yet, Xini on Eris is the lower-difficulty alternative that still drops Neo relics. Both work; Ur is faster for experienced players.

Axi S21: Apollo on Lua

Apollo is a Disruption mission on Lua, and it drops Axi relics on its B and C rotations. Since you'll be farming Axi S21 the most, get comfortable with this node. Disruption missions reward players who can efficiently kill conduit demolysts, so bring a high-damage primary or secondary.

warning
Disruption rotation rewards reset after every four rounds. If you're farming B and C rotations, plan to run at least two conduits per mission to hit those reward tiers consistently.

How to crack Steflos Prime relics efficiently

Once you have the relics, head to the Navigation screen and select Void Fissure missions. Match each mission to the relic tier you're cracking: Lith missions for Lith A13, Meso for Meso D9, and so on. During the mission, kill corrupted enemies (the golden ones) and collect the Reactant they drop. Grab 10 pieces and the relic opens at mission end.

The single biggest time-saver here is group farming. Jump into the Recruiting chat and look for Radshare groups, where everyone runs the same relic at Radiant. At the reward screen, you pick from the combined pool of all four players' results. If anyone cracks the Barrel from Axi S21, every player in the squad can choose it. That effectively quadruples your chances per run.

tip
Building the Steflos Prime also requires 10 Orokin Cells. Start stockpiling those early from Saturn or Orokin Derelict missions so you're not stuck waiting on materials after cracking the last relic.

What mods work well on Steflos Prime?

The community has settled on a few consistent mod directions for the Steflos Prime at Update 44. The most popular approach pairs Galvanized Savvy and Galvanized Hell for stacking status and multishot respectively, which feeds directly into the weapon's heat-based damage identity. Primed Point Blank and Primed Ravage provide the base damage and critical multiplier foundation, while Critical Deceleration helps shore up the critical chance on a shotgun platform.

For elemental combinations, Viral and Heat is the dominant choice across multiple high-rated builds, with Magnetic sometimes added as a third element for specific enemy factions. Galvanized Acceleration handles punch-through to let those growing projectiles hit more targets. Shotgun Elementalist rounds out the elemental stacking for builds that want to maximize status procs.

If you're looking at other Prime weapons to pair with this set, the guide on how to get War Prime covers another recently craftable weapon worth adding to your loadout.

Farming other Prime relics alongside Steflos

Since you'll be running Disruption missions and Void Captures anyway, it makes sense to grab relics for other Prime sets at the same time. The Citrine Prime connection is obvious since the Steflos Prime is her signature weapon, so check the Citrine Prime relic farming guide if you want to build out the full pairing.

For players working through multiple Prime sets simultaneously, the Voruna Prime relic guide covers a frame that benefits from similar Disruption farm routes, so you can double up on progress during the same sessions.

tip
The Steflos Prime's projectile mechanic, growing in size and lifespan with each enemy hit, makes it especially effective in dense enemy groups. Disruption missions with multiple demolysts in tight corridors are a natural fit for both farming relics and testing the weapon once built.

With four relics tracked down and a solid mod direction in hand, the Steflos Prime is a straightforward farm compared to some of the more obscure weapon blueprints in the game. The Axi S21 Barrel is the bottleneck, so run that relic Radiant in a group and the rest will follow.
