The Riven Tides update dropped for Arc Raiders on April 28, 2026, and alongside a new coastal map and the ARC Turbine threat, Speranza needs your help again. The Avian Alarm Project tasks you with building a bird-based security system to detect tremors and atmospheric changes across the coastline. There are 5 stages to grind through, each requiring specific items or an in-game task, and the rewards range from crafting materials to a backpack attachment and an emote. The project expires on May 26, 2026, so there is a real deadline to keep in mind.
How do you access the Avian Alarm Project?
Head to the Raiders tab in Speranza and look for the Projects tile, which is the fourth icon on the page. The Avian Alarm Project sits underneath it. From here you can see all five stages at once, which is actually a new quality-of-life feature Embark Studios added with this update. Previously, players had to complete a stage before seeing what came next. Now you can plan your runs in advance and pin items to your tracker so you never forget what you are hunting.
Pin every item you still need before heading into a raid. The pin system keeps your shopping list visible during extraction so you are not alt-tabbing to a guide mid-run.

All Avian Alarm Project Stages and Rewards
Here is every stage with its full requirements and what you get for completing it.
Stage 1: Initial Flock Intake
This is the only stage that asks you to do something in the world rather than hand over items. You need to lay a bird trap next to the buoys along the Seabed, which sits on the northwest portion of the Riven Tides map. Get there, place the trap near the buoys, and the stage completes. Your reward is the Dockmaster's Detector and 25 Raider Tokens. According to Insider Gaming, the Dockmaster's Detector is your key to Beachcombing, so do not skip this stage.
Stage 2: Preliminary Signal Birds
This stage asks for a mix of common and Uncommon materials. Tick Pods drop from Ticks throughout the game. Canisters are Uncommon Commercial items you can loot across multiple locations or buy from Celeste in Speranza if you are short. Moss is Rare and found in Nature loot zones, particularly the Hydroponic Domes or anywhere on the Riven Tides map. The Twilight Compass Ship Model is an Uncommon valuable that spawns on Riven Tides.
The reward here is a Heavy Gun Parts Blueprint, which makes this stage worth prioritizing early if you are building toward heavier loadouts.
Canisters are purchasable from Celeste if you are struggling to find them in the field. Buying them outright is often faster than farming random loot containers across multiple runs.
Stage 3: Secondary Validation Birds
Comet Igniters are Rare ARC materials that drop from the Comet Igniter enemy, which can appear on any map. Plan at least a few runs specifically to hunt one down since you need 3. Fertilizer is Uncommon and found in the Hydroponic Dome or throughout Riven Tides. Rusted Tools are Rare Mechanical items that appear across several maps. The Velocity Ship Model is a Rare valuable exclusive to Riven Tides.
Completing this stage gives you a Level 4 Anvil and an Anvil Splitter, plus 50 Raider Tokens. The Anvil alone makes Stage 3 one of the most valuable stops in the whole project.
Stage 4: Heightened Alert Birds
The Vaporizer Regulator is the biggest ask here. It is an Epic ARC item that only drops from defeating the ARC Vaporizer, so you cannot stumble into it passively. Budget at least one or two dedicated Vaporizer runs. Water Filters are Rare items from Industrial loot sections. Agave is Uncommon and found in Nature loot areas. The Sirena Dorata Ship Model is an Epic valuable on Riven Tides, so treat it as a priority pickup whenever you see it.
The reward includes the Gel Patches face cosmetic and the Riven Tides Hotel Keycard No. 311, which unlocks a specific room on the map.
The Vaporizer Regulator is an Epic drop with no alternative source. If you are behind on time, prioritize Vaporizer hunts early rather than leaving them for your final sessions before May 26.
Stage 5: Critical Warning Birds
Turbine Compressors are Epic ARC items that come from the ARC Turbine, the new major threat introduced in the Riven Tides update. You need 2 of them, so expect multiple Turbine encounters. Red Coral Jewelry is a Rare valuable with a random chance of appearing in Commercial loot locations. Roots are Uncommon Nature items found on Riven Tides. The Leviathan's Crown Ship Model is a Legendary valuable, the rarest item in the whole project, and it spawns somewhere on Riven Tides.
Finishing Stage 5 rewards you with the Bird House Backpack Attachment, the Fist In Air Emote, an Acoustic Guitar, and 100 Raider Tokens. The Bird House attachment is the headline cosmetic for the entire project.
What is the Avian Alarm Project deadline?
The project ends on May 26, 2026, which aligns with the last Tuesday of the month and the expected release window for the next major update, according to Insider Gaming. Embark Studios has started publishing explicit end dates after previous projects like the High Gain Antenna and Weather Monitor System both expired with little warning. That transparency is a genuine improvement, but May 26 still comes fast if you are juggling multiple stages that require Epic boss drops.
Prioritize the Vaporizer and ARC Turbine hunts as soon as possible. Everything else can be farmed passively across normal runs.
