Complete the A Path Not Yours quest in ARC Raiders: find Bilguun's gift, grab the Broken Compass, and unlock the secret stash.
The Taking Stock quest in ARC Raiders is one of the more spread-out missions added with the Frozen Trails update. You will visit at least three maps, photograph two different subjects, ping a large ARC machine, and track down 3 Industrial Batteries before the Nomadic Envoy considers you done. None of the individual steps are especially difficult, but knowing exactly where to go saves you multiple wasted raids.
Before loading into anything, check your stash. If you already have Industrial Batteries sitting in Speranza, you are ahead of the curve. Here is every objective you need to finish:

Deploy to Stella Montis and navigate to the Atrium, which sits on the upper floor in the southern section of the facility. The Atrium functions as a junction where several corridors converge, so it is not hard to locate once you are in the southern half of the map.
Step inside and look toward the center of the space. A large, distinctive star-shaped sculpture stands in the open area. Equip your camera, aim at the sculpture, and take the shot. Wait for the quest tracker to confirm the photo registers before heading to extraction.
ARC machines can patrol the corridors around the Atrium, but you do not need to engage any of them. Get the photo and get out.

Head to Spaceport next. Baron Husks are the enormous, inactive ARC machines scattered across the map. They are hard to miss once you are near them, given their sheer size compared to everything else in the environment.
The most convenient one to find is located slightly west of the Vehicle Maintenance building. Travel toward that section and scan the surrounding area. The Baron Husk will be visible from a distance. Get close enough for a clean shot, equip your camera, and take the photograph.

Other Baron Husks also appear toward the southern part of Spaceport, so if the Vehicle Maintenance area is contested or you land elsewhere, check the southern zone as a fallback. Any Baron Husk on Spaceport counts.
| Objective | Map | Key Location |
|---|---|---|
| Photograph sculpture | Stella Montis | Atrium (upper floor, south) |
| Photograph Baron Husk | Spaceport | West of Vehicle Maintenance |
| Ping Bastion | Buried City | Hospital, Marano Park, Plaza Rosa |
| Ping Bombardier | Dam Battlegrounds | Various open terrain areas |
| Deliver Industrial Batteries | Dam Battlegrounds | Water Treatment Control, Hydroponic Dome, Power Generation |
This objective gives you a genuine choice. Pick whichever map you are more comfortable with. You only need to mark the target with a ping. No kills required.
Buried City is the recommended option because the map is compact and the surrounding buildings give you solid cover if a Bastion spots you. Check these areas for spawns:
Bastion spawns are not guaranteed at any single location, so be prepared to sweep two or three spots. Once you spot one, stay behind cover, aim at it, and use your ping command. The quest tracker updates immediately. Do not engage the Bastion unless you have a specific reason to, since it is a heavily armored machine that can ruin your raid fast.
If you prefer Dam Battlegrounds, search the more open terrain sections of the map for a Bombardier. These enemies tend to appear in exposed areas where they have room to operate. Use structures and terrain as cover while you locate one, then ping it from safety.

Before running another raid, open your stash in Speranza. Industrial Batteries you already own count toward the delivery, so check first.
If you still need batteries, Dam Battlegrounds is the best map to farm them. Three industrial points of interest each have a solid chance of containing the item:
Breachable containers and lockers are your priority targets. Loot is randomized, so the batteries will not always appear in the same spot. If one run comes up short, extract safely and try again rather than overstaying and losing what you have already found. You can gather the batteries across multiple raids.
Once all four objectives are complete, return to Speranza and hand in the quest through the Nomadic Envoy. The rewards are:
The Jolt Mines are immediately useful for setting traps on future raids, and the Advanced Electrical Components feed into crafting and workbench upgrades. The XP is a solid chunk for a single quest chain.
Complete the two photography objectives first since they each take a single focused deployment. Stella Montis for the sculpture, Spaceport for the Baron Husk. Then hit Buried City for the Bastion ping since the compact map makes it faster than hunting a Bombardier across Dam Battlegrounds. Finish with an Industrial Battery run on Dam Battlegrounds, hitting all three industrial zones in one sweep if possible.
