AC Black Flag Resynced Guide: All Community Treasure Hunt Chest Locations

Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced adds a Community Treasure Hunt on top of the standard buried loot scattered across the Caribbean. Three hidden chests sit beneath the waves at specific coordinates, and they stay completely invisible on the map until you track them down using clues. Ubisoft releases those clues every Friday, but if you want the rewards right now, every location is pinned below with exact dive directions and a full breakdown of what each chest contains.

What are the Community Treasure Hunt chests?

The Community Treasure Hunt chests are separate from the regular treasure chests you dig up across the map. All three are submerged underwater, so you need to sail to the right coordinates, drop off your ship, and swim down to the ocean bed to collect them. The clue-based reveal system is a nice touch for players who enjoy the hunt, but there's no penalty for knowing the answers upfront.

tip
These chests do not appear on the in-game map until discovered. Sail directly to the coordinates listed below and dive straight down from your ship.

Where are all Community Treasure Hunt chest locations?

Here's a quick reference table before the full breakdown of each site.

Loading table...

Chest 1: Dry Tortuga (425, 931)

Sail to Dry Tortuga and line up with coordinates (425, 931). Once you're in position, dive off the ship and head toward the western side of the underwater rock formation. The chest sits on a bed of rocks close to that western edge. Opening it nets you 4,000 Reales, which is a solid early injection of currency for ship upgrades and hideout construction.

Chest 2: Charlotte (497, 165)

Head to Charlotte at coordinates (497, 165). After diving, swim east from your entry point. The chest rests near the ocean bed in that direction. The rewards here are the standout haul of the three: the Guardian Prince Legendary Rapier and the Guardian Beast Figurehead. The Legendary Rapier is a meaningful combat upgrade, and the figurehead adds a distinctive look to the Jackdaw.

warning
Don't confuse the Charlotte diving site with nearby underwater locations. Stick to the eastern direction after diving and you'll land on the chest without circling the area.

Chest 3: Chinchorro (28, 292)

The final chest is at Chinchorro, coordinates (28, 292). Dive down and move slightly northeast to find it resting on the ocean floor. This one rewards you with the Aveline Figurehead and the Explorer Outfit, both cosmetic unlocks that carry some weight for fans of the broader Assassin's Creed series given Aveline's history.

How does the Community Treasure Hunt clue system work?

Ubisoft drops location clues for these chests every Friday. The chests themselves are static and already in the game world, so the weekly clue drops are more of a community engagement mechanic than a gating system. You can collect all three chests at any point once you have access to the relevant regions, regardless of whether you've seen the official clues.

The hunt is clearly designed to keep players returning to the open world on a regular cadence, which fits the structure of Black Flag Resynced's broader changes to the original game that push toward extended engagement.

Tips for collecting all three chests efficiently

  • Plan your route to hit Dry Tortuga first since it's the most straightforward dive with no directional complexity.
  • At Charlotte, remember to swim east immediately after entering the water. The chest is deeper than it looks from the surface.
  • At Chinchorro, the northeast angle is subtle. A slight diagonal from your dive entry is all you need.
  • All three chests are underwater, so there are no enemies to deal with during collection. The main risk is losing your bearings on the ocean floor.
