You can get Usopp’s Slingshot in Fortnite by searching chests or picking it up as floor loot during the Treasure Hunters mini-season. Chests are the better place to start, especially when you want a higher-rarity version. The Slingshot uses Heavy Bullets and fills a long-range precision role rather than behaving like a rapid-fire weapon. For Usopp’s One Piece quest, finding it is only the first step: you also need to hit opponents who are more than 50 meters away.

Where can you get Usopp’s Slingshot?

Search treasure chests across Crossbones Isle and check nearby floor loot as you explore. Treasure chests come in yellow Regular and blue Legendary variants. Opening chests is the stronger starting point because they offer better chances of finding the Slingshot and can provide higher-rarity versions.

Floor loot still deserves a look, particularly if you need the weapon for Usopp’s quest rather than a rarity upgrade. Pick up a Slingshot when you find one, then keep searching chests for a stronger replacement.

What are the Slingshot’s loot chances?

The Battle Royale drop chances below cover finding Usopp’s Slingshot at any rarity available through that loot source in v43.00.

Loot sourceSlingshot drop chance
Chests10.5%
Rare Chests9.9%
Supply Drops9.9%
Floor loot1.4%

These percentages make ordinary chest searching a sensible default. Floor loot offers a much lower chance, while Rare Chests and Supply Drops provide additional opportunities during the match. Fishing can also produce the Slingshot.

If you are also hunting the collaboration’s event treasure, use the One Piece chest location guide to plan that separate stop.

Which Usopp’s Slingshot rarity should you keep?

Keep the higher-rarity Slingshot when you have a choice. The four standard rarities share their magazine size, reload time, and fire rate, so upgrading increases damage without asking you to learn a different firing rhythm.

The table below uses the standard weapon values for v43.00. Later updates can change weapon balance and loot availability.

RarityBody damageHeadshot damageStructure damage
Uncommon77138.652
Rare81145.855
Epic8515358
Legendary89160.261

The Legendary version is the strongest standard option, dealing 89 body damage compared with Uncommon’s 77. Its headshots reach 160.2 damage before distance falloff. That makes rarity upgrades worthwhile even though the weapon’s basic handling stays the same.

What is the Galaxy Slingshot?

The Galaxy Slingshot is the Mythic version of Usopp’s weapon. It deals 93 body damage and 198 headshot damage, making headshots its most notable upgrade over the standard Legendary version.

For Usopp’s distance quest, focus on getting a Slingshot and landing the required long-range hits. The objective asks you to use the weapon beyond 50 meters, so finding an upgrade can come after you have started working on those shots.

How do you aim and fire Usopp’s Slingshot?

Equip Usopp’s Slingshot, use ADS to aim, line up your opponent, and use Fire to shoot. It is a scopeless precision weapon with a single-round magazine, a short reload, and a charge built into its firing action.

What handling stats matter?

The four standard rarities have identical values for the following handling stats:

Handling statValue
Magazine capacity1 round
Reload time0.35 seconds
Fire rate1.05 shots per second
Charge time0.7 seconds
Aim-down-sights time0.25 seconds

The 0.35-second reload is quick, but the Slingshot still fires deliberately. Its 1-round magazine and 0.7-second charge are the details to keep in mind when lining up repeated shots. A higher rarity improves damage, not those timings.

Use this firing sequence:

  • Equip the Slingshot and check that you have Heavy Bullets.
  • Aim with ADS and line up the target.
  • Crouch if you need a tighter crosshair.
  • Use Fire, then line up your next shot after reloading.

Does damage decrease at long range?

Usopp’s Slingshot deals full damage up to 25 meters, with damage decreasing at longer distances. For example, the Legendary version’s body damage drops to 84.6 beyond 100 meters, compared with its base value of 89.

That falloff matters when comparing the rarity table with distant hits. The Slingshot remains a long-range weapon, but its maximum damage values apply at closer distances than Usopp’s beyond-50-meter quest requires.

How do you complete Usopp’s 50-meter quest?

To impress Usopp, hit opponents with his Slingshot while they are more than 50 meters away. The weapon and the distance both matter. Finding the Slingshot does not complete the objective by itself.

The simplest approach is to prepare the weapon and ammo first, then look for a distant opponent. Use ADS to line up the shot, and crouch to tighten the crosshair if your aim needs more precision.

Follow this checklist when attempting the objective:

  1. Find Usopp’s Slingshot through chests, floor loot, or another supported loot source.
  2. Collect Heavy Bullets so you can fire it.
  3. Position yourself more than 50 meters from an opponent.
  4. Aim down sights and land your Slingshot shots.

Weapon quests can ask for different actions. Usopp’s objective is about distance, while the separate Lancehead Clip challenge focuses on hitting opponents with the clip.

How can you make the chest search easier?

Treasure Hunters adds several ways to support your loot search. Fortune Sprite reveals nearby chests, making it directly useful when your priority is finding more containers to open for a Slingshot.

Exmarks helps with a different part of treasure hunting: it reveals nearby Treasure Maps and Wanted Posters. At maximum level, it spawns a Treasure Map. Fortune is the more direct match for locating nearby chests, while Exmarks supports the wider treasure hunt.

Chests also refill over time during Treasure Hunters, allowing you to open them again after a while. Previously opened chests can therefore become another opportunity to search for the weapon or improve its rarity.

For a straightforward Slingshot hunt, prioritize chest openings, keep checking floor loot as you move, and collect Heavy Bullets when you find them. Once you have the weapon, work on Usopp’s hits beyond 50 meters. For help with your next objective, browse the Fortnite guide collection.
