Using the lamp is straightforward:
- Pick up the Angel Lamp from the truck dashboard.
- Equip it like any standard piece of investigation gear.
- Face a shadow figure directly.
- Hold down the Use button while aimed at the shadow.
The lamp activates at any time you press Use, but the effect only registers when you are pointing it at an actual shadow figure. Activating it in an empty room wastes nothing since it has unlimited uses, but you will not earn any points unless a shadow is in your sights.
You must be facing the shadow figure when you activate the lamp. Activating it at an angle or while the shadow is behind you will not count as a banish.
How many event points does banishing shadows earn?
Each shadow figure you banish with the Angel Lamp awards 2 event points at the base rate. That number scales upward depending on the difficulty level you are playing on. Higher difficulties multiply the point value, so running harder modes is the most efficient way to farm event points from this activity.
