Finding enough Vein Crystals to craft late-game 5-star equipment in DragonSword: Awakening is one of the bigger resource walls you'll hit on the way to a complete build. Mining and transmuting works, but it's slow. Two secret dungeons sitting at the bottom of the sea hand you 15 Vein Crystals each per completion, and most players walk right past them because they never appear on the map or in the fast travel menu.
Where are the secret dungeons in DragonSword: Awakening?
Both hidden dungeons are underwater, which is why they stay off most players' radar. You won't spot them on the world map and there's no waypoint to unlock. You have to physically dive to find them.
Ruins Beneath The Waves sits west of A Forgotten Heaven. Head to that area and dive straight down. The entrance is at the seafloor.

Both secret dungeon map spots
Sunken Ruins takes a bit more navigation. Travel to Hill of Journey, find the Goblin Bandit's Cave Dungeon, then dive from the shoreline directly to its right. Keep going down and you'll hit the entrance.
Neither dungeon is level-gated in a soft sense, but both are level 40 content. Going in underprepared means burning through your stamina dishes before you even reach the boss room.
What do the secret dungeons reward?
Each dungeon clears in one run and the rewards reset, making them a reliable infinite source of Vein Crystals when you factor in daily or session-based farming.
That's 30 Vein Crystals per full clear across both dungeons, plus a solid haul of Crystals of Reverie, Oblivion, Remembrance, and Recollection. Those secondary drops are worth noting if you're also working on other crafting systems at the same time.
How to cook the best stamina dishes for underwater travel
The swim to either dungeon drains stamina fast, especially if you're dashing to maintain speed. Stocking the right dishes before you dive is what separates a clean run from a frustrating trip back to shore.

Stamina dish cooking recipes
Here's every dish that helps with swimming stamina, ranked by effectiveness:
Egg Renew is your emergency button. Carry several for the dive itself since the instant familiar stamina recovery means you can keep Swim Dash active through tight sections. Assorted Sushi is arguably the best single dish here because it combines a passive reduction with an instant character stamina burst, covering both stamina pools at once.
Seafood Sauce and Assorted Rice Balls are strong sustained options if you're farming both dungeons in sequence and don't want to think about stamina micro-management mid-dive.
Building your farming route efficiently
After testing both routes across multiple sessions, the most efficient order is Ruins Beneath The Waves first, then Sunken Ruins. The Ruins Beneath The Waves entrance is more straightforward to reach from a central spawn point, and the 20,000 Gold reward means you leave that dungeon with more resources to potentially restock at a vendor before the second dive if needed.
Bring at least two Assorted Sushi and two Egg Renews per dungeon. That's a minimum of four of each for a full dual-dungeon run. If your cooking inventory allows, swap one Assorted Sushi for an Assorted Rice Balls for the longer swim sections.

What else should you farm while you're down there?
Since you're already making the underwater trip, it's worth knowing what other resources and systems benefit from the same preparation. If you're building toward a full late-game kit, Vein Crystals are one piece of a larger puzzle. Familiars play a big role in underwater traversal and exploration speed generally, so check out the full guide on how to unlock all familiars to make sure your Swim Dash source is optimized.
