The Parasitism 1 contract is your entry point into the Sekiguchi faction priority contract chain in Marathon. It sounds straightforward on paper, but this mission packs three distinct objectives into a single run, and the middle task is genuinely demanding. Nail this one, and you unlock the rest of the Parasitism contracts with better rewards waiting at the end.
What Is the Parasitism 1 Contract?
Parasitism 1 is a priority contract for the Sekiguchi faction, set entirely within the Outpost map. All three objectives must be finished in one continuous run, so there is no coming back to finish what you started. The tasks break down like this:
- Acquire combat data from UESC Ghosts on the Processing rooftop (x2)
- Acquire the UESC Data Bank from Pinwheel Base center (x1)
- Deliver the UESC Data Bank to a DCON (x1)
Each completed objective awards 150 XP, totaling 450 XP for a full clear.
info
The rewards for Parasitism 1 are modest, but completing it unlocks Parasitism 2 through 5, which offer significantly better loot and progression.

UESC Ghosts on the rooftop
How to Acquire Combat Data from UESC Ghosts on the Processing Rooftop
This is the easiest of the three objectives. Head to the Processing point of interest on the Outpost map and climb the stairs to reach the roof. Once you are on top, drop down to the lower section of the rooftop area. Two UESC Ghosts patrol this space.
Take them out and each one drops a UESC combat data drive, which automatically adds to your inventory. Both kills count toward the objective, so do not leave the rooftop until both Ghosts are down.
info
Clear the surrounding area before engaging the Ghosts. Other enemies nearby can turn a clean fight into a chaotic one fast.
How to Acquire the UESC Data Bank from Pinwheel Base Center
This is the hardest part of the contract. Reaching the UESC Data Bank requires you to unlock the Pinwheel Base, which demands Clearance Codes of three different colors.
What Are the Clearance Codes?
Three types of Clearance Codes exist, and each one is found differently:
All three code locations are randomized each run, so you will need to explore and interact with multiple terminals before heading to Pinwheel Base.
warning
The terminal sometimes demands two codes of the same color rather than one of each. Stock up on extras, especially Green codes, before you commit to the hack sequence.
Opening the Pinwheel Base
Once you have your Clearance Codes, locate the terminal at the marked entry point of Pinwheel Base. Submit the codes here. The terminal will specify exactly which combination it needs, so pay attention to the prompt before burning your codes.
After a successful submission, a wave of UESC enemies spawns immediately. Eliminate them, then interact with the nearby workstation to begin the hack. The hack takes time to complete, so stay alert and defend the position until it finishes.
When the hack is done, an elevator appears in front of you. Ride it up, pass through two doors ahead, and follow the quest marker. This leads you to approximately the center of Pinwheel Base, where the UESC Data Bank is waiting.
info
If you are running this contract in a trio, split up the Clearance Code hunting. One player can watch the terminal during the hack while others hold off the enemy wave, making the whole sequence much smoother.

DCON delivery point on map
How to Deliver the UESC Data Bank to a DCON
With the UESC Data Bank secured, backtrack to the area near the Clearance Code terminal you used earlier. A DCON is located close by. There are actually three DCONs spread across the Outpost map, so if the closest one is not showing on your map, check the other marked positions.
Interact with the DCON to submit the Data Bank. That action completes the final objective and wraps up the Parasitism 1 contract entirely.
info
DCON markers can occasionally disappear from the map. If yours is missing, check all three possible DCON spots on the Outpost map manually rather than waiting for the marker to reappear.
