Spamming dash to get across the map is a fast way to wear out your patience. Brooms solve that problem entirely, and in Roblox Wizard Alchemy there are two of them available right now, each sitting at a different price point and offering noticeably different performance. Here is everything you need to know to get one and start flying.
What brooms are available in Wizard Alchemy?
As of May 2026, there are exactly two brooms in the game. The gap between them is significant, both in price and in raw performance, so which one you go for depends entirely on how many Coins you have saved up.
The Lava Broom is the clear winner on every stat. Its base acceleration of 25 is 2.5 times higher than the Apprentice Broom's 10, and its max acceleration of 50 beats the Apprentice Broom's ceiling of 35 by a wide margin. The trade-off is the price: 50,000 Coins versus 3,000 Coins is a steep jump, so most players will start with the Apprentice Broom and grind toward the Lava Broom over time.
Before spending Coins on a broom, redeem any active Wizard Alchemy codes to top up your currency. Every bit counts when you are saving for the Lava Broom's 50,000 Coin price tag.
Where to find each broom

Wizard Alchemy Guide: All Broom Locations
Apprentice Broom location
Head to Departure Island and look for the portal on the beach. The Apprentice Broom vendor sits directly underneath that portal. It is easy to miss if you walk past the portal without looking below it, so drop down and check around the base. At 3,000 Coins it is accessible very early in a playthrough.
Lava Broom location
The Lava Broom is sold to the right of the Alchemy area inside the Sea of Oblivion. Getting there requires progressing further into the game, which lines up with the higher price. Once you are in that zone, the vendor should be visible without too much searching.
Make sure you have the full Coin amount before travelling to either vendor. There is no partial payment or layaway system, so arriving short-handed means making the trip twice.
How to use brooms in Wizard Alchemy
Flying is straightforward once you know the controls. The broom sits in your hotbar like any other item, and mounting it takes one button press.
- Assign the broom to a hotbar slot, then press that slot's button to mount.
- On PC, move your mouse to look around. On console and mobile, use the D-pad to do the same.
- Press W (or D-pad forward on console/mobile) to accelerate. Releasing that input gradually slows you down.
- To descend, angle your view toward the ground and hold forward.
- Press the hotbar button again to dismount and drop back to the ground.
There is no dedicated brake button. Slowing down is purely a matter of releasing the forward input and letting momentum bleed off naturally, so plan your landings with a bit of extra space.
The controls feel natural after a couple of minutes. The main thing to get used to is the momentum system: the broom does not stop instantly, which matters when you are trying to land precisely near a chest or vendor.
Which broom should you get first?
Get the Apprentice Broom as soon as you have 3,000 Coins. Even with its lower stats, it is vastly more efficient for map traversal than dashing everywhere on foot. The acceleration of 10 and max acceleration of 35 are enough to make exploring feel much less tedious.
Once you have a comfortable Coin reserve and have pushed into the Sea of Oblivion area, upgrade to the Lava Broom. The jump from max acceleration 35 to 50 is meaningful for long-distance travel, and the Epic rarity design is a bonus for anyone who cares about looking good on the server.
If you want to plan your build around your broom choice, our Wizard Alchemy race tier list breaks down every race by stats so you can match your movement setup to the right playstyle.
Brooms are especially useful when hunting chests across the map. Mounting up between chest runs cuts travel time significantly compared to ground movement.
