New Game Plus in Silent Hill: Townfall is where the game's alternate endings open up. NG+ adds a separate layer of collectibles tied directly to the Dog Ending and the Sci-fi Ending, plus a new weapon tucked away for players who complete the Sci-fi route and roll into NG++. None of these items exist on a first playthrough, so if you're returning to town with save data, this guide covers every step in order.
NG+ doesn't just recycle the base game. Locked gates open, new rooms become accessible, and three Bronze, Silver, and Gold Coins appear across the map for the Dog Ending. The Sci-fi Ending requires finding three Strange Books and solving a button-panel puzzle to obtain the Strange Access Card. If you want to see both alternate endings in a single NG+ run, you'll need to follow the Sci-fi steps first, since the Dog Ending triggers after the final boss and the Sci-fi Ending fires before it.
For context on the base-game collectibles that feed into some of these puzzles, check the Silent Hill: Townfall guides collection for Strange Postcards, phone numbers, and resource containers.
Three things to grab here before the chapter moves on.
Weapon: Axe From the start, walk forward until you reach the row of houses with "For Sale" signs along the railing. A gate that was locked on your first run is now open. Go through it, enter the door on the right, and pick up the Axe.
Key Item: Bronze Coin (Dog Ending Step 1 setup) Continue down the road to the Video Star store. Head into the small back room and find the Bronze Coin on a shelf.
Dog Ending Step 1 Back on Main Street, just before the Pharmacy, look for a Guide Dogs for the Blind charity bank. Insert the Bronze Coin here. That's the first of three deposits.
Phone Number: 496 0842 After returning to Town Square, use the phone booth and dial 946. The call will give you the number 496 0842. You can attempt this call earlier in the run, but it only connects correctly during Chapter 3. If you want a full record of every callable number in the game, the all phone numbers locations guide has every entry.
Sci-fi Ending Step 1: Strange Book 1 Inside Zoe's House, go to the bedroom and look to the left of the bed. Inspect the book on the floor: "History of Space Flight, 1952 – 1992".

Weapon: Axe (Zoe) Just before entering Mr. Stewart's house, check the adjacent backyard. The Axe is leaning against the shed door. Pick it up and Zoe carries it through both of her sections.
This chapter holds the most involved Sci-fi Ending setup.
Sci-fi Ending Step 2: Button Panel Puzzle After interacting with the box to accept Richard's gift, head into the hotel and go upstairs. There's a door with symbol buttons corresponding to the Strange Postcards. Enter this sequence:
The Strange Postcards themselves are spread across Parts 1 through 4 and Part 6 of the game. If you're missing any symbols or need a refresher on what each postcard looks like, the all Strange Postcard locations guide maps every one.
Key Item: Strange Access Card Once the door opens, pick up the Strange Access Card from the corner near the elephant statue. Hold onto this. You won't use it until Chapter 15.

Key Item: Silver Coin (Dog Ending Step 2 setup) Entering Clara Woods, head up the street to the intersection and turn right. This is the same backyard where a Strange Postcard was located on your first run. The Silver Coin is on a shelf in that backyard.
Sci-fi Ending Step 3: Strange Book 2 After the phone call with Richard, go to the store on the southwest corner of Atlas Square. Just inside on the left, inspect the book on the shelf: "Freeze Me / Wake Me – Elias Fisher".
Dog Ending Step 2 With the boltcutters in hand, go through the door behind the post service building to reach the laundromat. Inside, find the dog charity bank and place the Silver Coin.
This is the busiest chapter for NG+ collectibles, with three Dog Ending and Sci-fi Ending steps packed into the same area.
Key Item: Gold Coin (Dog Ending Step 3 setup) When you reach the panel used to unlock the door to the valve, also unlock door 793. Go to that room in the lower area and pick up the Gold Coin from the console.
Sci-fi Ending Step 4: Strange Book 3 At the same panel, also unlock door 621. Inside, beside the Resource Container on the table, inspect the book: "A Map of Nowhere Else – The Future of Interstellar Travel". If you need help locating the Resource Containers themselves, the all resource container locations guide covers every one.
Dog Ending Step 3 After finishing the container steps, follow the path forward. At the four-way split with red lights ahead, go all the way to the end of the hallway. Find the final dog charity bank and place the Gold Coin. This locks in the Dog Ending after the final boss.
Sci-fi Ending Step 5 After the red hallways, just before the doorway that triggers the scene where Simon pulls out his IV, there is a keypad on the left. Use the Strange Access Card here. Going through the next door after Simon's scene triggers the Sci-fi Ending immediately.
Weapon: Pistol-3000 Completing the Sci-fi Ending unlocks NG++. On this run, return to the same house with the "For Sale" signs where the Axe was in NG+. Enter the same door on the right, and the Pistol-3000 replaces it.
