Silver Pines splits its upgrade system into two clean categories, and both matter more than they might first appear. Stamina upgrades extend how long Red Walker can dodge, sprint, and hold a charged attack. Inventory upgrades add carrying capacity so you stop having to choose between items mid-run. There are 6 stamina upgrades and 9 inventory upgrades spread across every major area of the game, and collecting them all unlocks an achievement. This guide covers every single one, ordered by zone.
What are the two upgrade types in Silver Pines?
Stamina upgrades take the form of coffee pots. You brew the coffee, drink it, and Red Walker's stamina bar grows. Inventory upgrades are hip pouches and bags that physically attach to your loadout and open new item slots. Neither type respawns or resets, so once you collect one, it's permanent.
Neither upgrade type is handed to you. Most require solving a small environmental puzzle first: shooting a padlock, breaking a vent, crawling through a mirror, or completing a side task like placing bells on a station. The detours are short but easy to miss if you're rushing the main story.

How do upgrades affect gameplay?
Stamina directly controls your combat options. More stamina means more dodges per encounter, longer sprints when repositioning, and the ability to hold charged attacks without burning out mid-swing. Early game, Red Walker's default stamina feels tight against tougher enemies, so clearing the Outskirts and Downtown coffee pots before pushing forward makes a real difference.
Inventory space is less dramatic but quietly important. Silver Pines regularly asks you to carry keys, tools, and consumables at the same time. Running out of slots means leaving something useful behind. The three Outskirts pouches are the easiest to grab early and give you breathing room for the rest of the game.
What should you prioritize first?
If you're playing blind, grab stamina upgrades before inventory upgrades. Combat difficulty scales faster than inventory pressure in the early areas, and the Outskirts and Downtown coffee pots are the least gated of the bunch. Most of the inventory upgrades require side steps or completed puzzles, so they naturally slot into a second pass.
For players going for full completion, the Digging Man's mobile home and the Thelend Broadcasting vent bag are the two most commonly missed upgrades. Both require prerequisite tasks that aren't telegraphed clearly. Bookmark those locations before you finish Downtown and the Broadcasting Company sections.
