Faie is more than a chatty sidekick in The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales. She's a combat and traversal tool that becomes increasingly powerful as you work through all four ages. Her five fairy powers range from basic movement boosts to a full mirror-copy ability that doubles your attack output. Each one is locked behind a Shrine of the Mystic challenge, and each can be upgraded at a separate Mausoleum of the Mystic. Here's where to find every shrine and mausoleum, what each ability does, and what the upgrades unlock.

Faie's ability selection screen
How do you unlock Faie in the first place?
Before any of this matters, you need Faie as a companion. She joins Elliot after you complete the prologue and reach the Northern Tower in the Age of Reconstruction. Once she's with you, you can start hunting down the Shrines of the Mystic to expand her toolkit.
What are all of Faie's fairy powers?
There are five fairy powers total, one per age (with two in the Age of Reconstruction). Each is unlocked by completing a Shrine of the Mystic trial in a specific location.
Sprint (Age of Safekeeping)
Sprint is the first power you'll get, found in the swampy area near the Lotus Cave in Westerea. To reach the shrine, you'll need a Hammer to knock out the peg obstacles blocking the path. It's a straightforward early unlock that pays off immediately for covering ground faster.
Ignite (Age of Reconstruction)
Ignite sits right next to the Open Plateau waypoint in the Age of Reconstruction and falls directly on the main quest path. You won't miss it. Once unlocked, Faie becomes a fireball that can light torches and lanterns scattered across the world. If you're working through how to light every lantern, this is the ability that makes it possible.
Ignite also unlocks Faie's Magic Lessons, a set of mini-games you can play to practice her abilities. These become available as soon as you exit Shrine of the Mystic I in the Age of Reconstruction.
Warp (Age of Reconstruction)
Warp is found near the doorway ruins next to the great tree during the main quest objective that sends you searching that area. The shrine is close to the passage leading into the Age of Magic. This ability lets Elliot teleport instantly to wherever Faie is standing, which opens up a lot of positional plays in both combat and puzzle navigation.
Vacuum (Age of Magic)
Vacuum is in the volcanic region of the Age of Magic, southwest of Garretbelt. The catch is that you need the Western Caves Key from Carter before you can access the area. Once inside, Faie becomes a tornado capable of pulling enemies, orbs, and loose objects toward her. It's the most versatile crowd-control tool in her kit.

Copy (Age of Budding)
Copy is the last power and arguably the most powerful. Found northeast of Whiterea in the Age of Budding, it transforms Faie into a mirror image of Elliot. Every movement, every weapon swing, every combo Elliot performs gets duplicated by Faie simultaneously. In a game where damage output matters, Copy effectively doubles your attack presence on screen.
Where are all the Mausoleum upgrades?
Upgrading Faie's powers requires completing Mausoleum of the Mystic challenges, which are separate from the Shrines. There are five upgrades spread across all four ages, and they don't match the order you unlocked the base abilities.

Mausoleum of the Mystic trial
The Copy Upgrade in Neverwither requires some setup. Use bombs to clear the cracked rocks blocking the path, climb the ladders to the top of the structure, then activate Copy so Faie mirrors Elliot's inputs. Both pressure buttons need to be pressed at the same time, which is exactly what Copy handles.
The Sprint Upgrade near Northern Westerea is a timed run. Press the button, then use Sprint to cover the distance back up the path quickly before dropping into the mausoleum entrance below.
What about the Practice Perfect trophy?
Clearing all of Faie's Magic Lessons earns you the Practice Perfect trophy, worth 15 points. If you're going for Platinum, don't skip these mini-games. Just remember to play them outside of active farming sessions to protect your drop bonus chain.
Getting the most out of Faie
Faie's kit rewards players who actively position her rather than leaving her on autopilot. Vacuum clears clustered enemies before you close in. Warp lets you reposition instantly when surrounded. Copy turns single-target weapon combos into area-clearing pressure. The more deliberately you use her, the more value you get out of every encounter.
For players building around specific weapon types, the Copy ability pairs especially well with high-hit-count weapons. Check the best bow magicite build guide to see how Faie's mirrored attacks stack with ranged magicite boons. And if you're tracking every collectible across all four ages, the all cat locations guide covers all 50 cats and the Ailurophilic Traveler rewards waiting at the end.
