The Clean Hands quest arrived with the Frozen Trail update, and it sends you across the brand-new Pendola Pass map on a multi-stop errand for the Nomadic Envoy trader. The map is large, the objectives are spread out, and the whole thing must be done in a single raid. Before heading out, equip an Augment that gives you a Safe Pocket — you will absolutely need it.
What are the Clean Hands quest objectives?
The quest has four steps that must be completed in order, all within one run on Pendola Pass in ARC Raiders:
Find the Nomad Camp under the Railyard
Search for the polluted item in the Nomad Camp
Bring the Equatorial Sundial to the top of the church in Old Town
Extract safely and deliver the sundial to the Nomadic Envoy in Speranza
important
This entire quest must be completed in one round. If you die and lose the Equatorial Sundial before extracting, you will need to start over.

The Railyard sits roughly in the center of the Pendola Pass map, south of the Controlled Receiving Facility. It is a sprawling point of interest made up of a large station building, several side structures, and train cars you can move through. Expect other players here — it is one of the busier POIs on the map.
The Nomad Camp is tucked into the southwestern corner of the Railyard. Look for large drainage pipes on the western side of the location and head inside. Where the pipes connect, you will find the camp on slightly elevated catwalks, full of tents and abandoned gear. You can also reach this area by going through the depot on the ground floor. The interior does not have many ARC enemies beyond the standard Ticks and Fireballs, so the main threat is other raiders passing through.
tip
Enter through the tunnel on the western side of the Railyard for the most direct path to the Nomad Camp without crossing the main station floor.

How to find the polluted item in the Nomad Camp
Once inside the camp, head to the catwalk cross-section where the paths meet. You are looking for two large crates covered with blue tarps and a yellow duffel bag sitting next to a warped barrel. Interact with the bag to trigger the quest prompt. After searching it, the Equatorial Sundial will spawn on the floor nearby — pick it up.
As soon as it is in your inventory, place it in your Safe Pocket. Losing it to an ARC enemy or a hostile player between here and the extraction point means starting the whole quest over.

How to bring the Equatorial Sundial to the church in Old Town
With the sundial secured, your next destination is Old Town, located on the far western side of Pendola Pass. On your map it sits just south of the Fallen Emperor and near a Ballistic Gondola. Do not confuse it with the Old Hamlet to the south — they are different locations.
Old Town is heavily patrolled by flying ARC enemies, so approach carefully. The church is the tallest structure in the area and sits in the center of town, making it easy to spot from a distance. Enter through the northern doorway.
Inside, look to the right immediately after entering and you will find a spiral staircase. Climb it, then use the zipline near the top to reach the steeple. At the top, approach the indicated railing and interact with it to hold the Equatorial Sundial up toward the east, gathering the required readings.
tip
You are completely exposed while holding up the sundial at the railing. Scan the skies and surrounding rooftops for ARC enemies before triggering the interaction.
How to extract with the Equatorial Sundial
Extracting on Pendola Pass works differently from other maps. There are no fixed extraction points you simply walk to. Instead, you need to locate one of the ramshackle radio beacons marked on your map by a white square with a downward arrow. Interact with the beacon and wait for it to turn green, then follow the direction it points to find the Ballistic Gondola.
The gondola is a large orange tube with room for up to three raiders. Interact with one of the pods on the side to climb in. Prying open a pod takes a few seconds, so you are vulnerable during this process — same as working an extraction terminal on other maps.
The Ballistic Gondola north of Old Town is the most convenient one given your position after finishing the church objective. Once you land back in Speranza, head to the Traders tab and speak with the Nomadic Envoy to complete the quest.
