The Frozen Trail update dropped a brand-new map and a stack of quests to go with it, and Exploring Pendola Pass is the one you should tackle first. Assigned by Celeste, it sends you to three of ARC Raiders' most distinct landmarks on Pendola Pass, while also asking you to destroy 20 ARC enemies along the way. The good news: none of these four objectives need to be done in a single raid, so you can chip away at them across multiple runs.
What are all the Exploring Pendola Pass objectives?
Before loading in, know exactly what you need to accomplish. Here are all four objectives, completable in any order:
Destroy 20 ARC enemies
Search the control room at the Cielo Sereno Observatory for power
Use 1 Wire to patch into the antenna on top of the tallest tower in the Railyard
Search 3 containers inside the Commissary Supermarket
tip
When you accept the quest, Celeste hands you 3 Ziplines. Bring them into your next raid. You will need at least one for both the Observatory and the Railyard tower.

Killing 20 ARC enemies is the most passive of the bunch. You accumulate that count naturally across raids, so focus your attention on the three location-based objectives. Wasps, Hornets, and Fireflies are the easiest targets for padding that kill count, especially from range. Avoid the new Bully enemy until you are well-equipped; it hits hard and can end a run fast.
How to find the Cielo Sereno Observatory control room
The Cielo Sereno Observatory sits on the northeastern edge of Pendola Pass. Getting inside is straightforward, but reaching the control room efficiently requires a little vertical movement.
The fastest approach is to land on or grapple up to the roof using a Zipline, grappling hook, or snaphook. From the roof, drop through any opening in the structure to reach the interior. The control room is on the western side of the building, facing south. Look for a console with an interactive prompt that reads "inspect the tech" and activate it.
Once the interaction completes, the objective clears and you can move on.

How to patch the antenna on the tallest Railyard tower
This is the objective most players fumble because they forget one of two required items. You need a Wire and a mobility gadget (Zipline, grappling hook, or snaphook) to complete it. If you accepted the quest and grabbed the three free Ziplines, you are already set on the mobility side. Pick up a Wire before you go, or scavenge one on the map.
Head to the southeastern section of the Railyard. On the map, the tower you want sits directly east of the "Railyard" label and south of the Controlled Receiving Facility. There is a ladder on the outside of the building that takes you up to the rooftop. From there, deploy your Zipline to reach the very top of the tower.
Interact with the antenna prompt at the summit. This consumes your Wire, the antenna beeps a few times, and the objective is done.
important
If you arrive at the Railyard without a Wire, you cannot complete this objective. Check your loadout before the raid or loot for one on-site before climbing.

How to search containers in the Commissary Supermarket
The Commissary Supermarket is centrally located on Pendola Pass, making it one of the easier stops to plan around. Head inside and open any 3 containers. The quest does not require you to find specific containers, and it does not matter if other players have already looted them. Any container interaction inside the building counts.
Save this objective for last if you can. There is a ballistic gondola right outside the Supermarket, which gives you a clean extraction point immediately after completing the final objective.
Quest rewards: what do you get for finishing Exploring Pendola Pass?
Return to Celeste back in Speranza once all four objectives are complete. Here is what she hands over:
Reward
Type
5,000 XP
Currency
Snow Globe
Trinket
Medium Shield
Shield
Osprey I
Weapon
The Osprey I is the standout reward here, giving you a usable weapon to bring into your next expedition. The Medium Shield is also worth equipping immediately if you are still running lighter protection.
Tips for completing the quest efficiently
Run the Commissary Supermarket and Railyard in the same raid if possible. Both locations are close enough to hit back-to-back without burning too much time.
The Observatory control room electrocution is a short stun, not damage. Clear the room before interacting.
ARC enemy kills stack across all maps, not just Pendola Pass. Do not force fights on the new map just to hit 20 kills faster.
The ballistic gondola outside the Supermarket is a reliable extraction. Plan your route to end there.
